James brings 15 years of experience to our team.  He is a Bangor native and is so excited to be working with Aveda once more.  He has been an instructor at the Aveda Institute Tucson and Phoenix and has had great success behind the chair.  His passion and attention to detail is unmatched and he will approach each head of hair in a methodical yet creative manor.  Join James as he focuses his efforts on supporting the stylists in the salon, nurturing their growth!

Q. How did you get into hair?


A: After meeting Aaron and finding out the process of becoming licensed, I decided that I could develop a career in the beauty industry. I started school and haven’t looked back since!


Q. What do you love about the hair industry?


A: I love having the ability to work one on one with my guests, finding ways that I can help bring out their inner beauty by what we can achieve on the outside.

A: Finest Fluid, Flux Potion, Silk'n Glow Serum, Bungee Fiber

Q. What foods can't you live without?


A: PIZZA!!!! Good ole pepperoni will do the trick always!


Q. What songs/artists do you have on repeat?


A: Anything Indie that’s soft and relaxing. I love pop anything and always tune into today’s hits.


Q. How do you spend your downtime?


A: I enjoy knitting, binging Netflix, trying to become famous on TikTok, and relaxing with good company.


Q. What is your favorite local business?


A: I have a few.....Paddy Murphys, Blaze, Fork & Spoon, Tesoro’s, Pepino's, West Market Square Artisan Coffeehouse.....I don’t know why it’s all food related! One Lupine Fiber Arts is a favorite for yarn and other great hand picked items!

A: Ozark, Schitt’s Creek, Bob’s Burgers, anything written by Brené Brown, Little Fires Everywhere.

A: If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.
